Application for appointments to the Social Workers Complaints and Disciplinary Tribunal and Social Workers Registration Board

The Minister for Social Development and Employment (the Minister) is seeking nominations for a total of four upcoming appointments to two social sector entities:

The Minister is looking to appoint one social worker (not being a social worker whose registration or practising certificate is suspended) to the Tribunal. The term of this new member will most likely begin in late August or September.

The Social Workers Registration Board

The Minister is looking to appoint three social workers (not being social workers whose registration or practising certificate is suspended) to the Board, with one member’s term beginning at the start of September and the remaining members terms beginning at the start of January 2025.

Following new appointments made to the Board, a new Chairperson will be appointed by January 2025. The Chair will be appointed from among the members of the Board.
