The Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) protects the safety of the public by ensuring social workers are accountable, competent and safe to practise, and it acts to enhance the professionalism of social workers. As a Crown-owned entity, its vision is to ensure social workers enable the mauri ora of our communities, whānau and individuals.
The Senior Policy Advisor is a newly created position that will lead the development of operational policy and business processes. Thanks to recent changes to legislation there is a significant volume of policy development work to be undertaken to update and operationalise the legislative changes. It will also be important for the Advisor to ensure that policy will work ‘in practice’ and to make things ‘real’ for the sector.
To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience as an operational policy practitioner, at an intermediate/senior level. Experience gained from working in a regulatory environment would be beneficial. You will be end-user focused and enjoy working in a smaller team setting.
This will be a fixed-term position for 18 months. This is a great opportunity to make your contribution and to take ownership of this important function.
